Herbal lemonade
500 ml of apple juice and 100 g of sugar form the main ingredients and are brought to the boil quickly. A few sprigs of herb are then added, boiled briefly with the main ingredients, and the pot is then removed from the hotplate. Lemon balm or peppermint will give it a fresh flavour, sage and basil are spicier. The mixture now has to stand for about half an hour and is then strained. Once it has cooled, dilute to taste with mineral water and serve with slices of lemon.
